With Urquinaona Metro station a 2-minute walk away from our B&B, Barcelona is on your doorstep. Great shopping opportunities are available within easy walking distance from our guest house starting at Portal del Angel, a select pedestrian street home to international fashion brands, cafés and restaurants. Numerous buses depart from the bustling Catalunya Square, only 500 m away, including the Aerobus to Barcelona Airport. Barcelona beach and seafront are just 10 minutes by Metro.
From Barcelona Airport:
- Catch the Aerobus A1 to Plaza Catalunya, BacHome Terrace B&B is situated 5 minutes’ walk away on Carrer del Bruc or,
- Catch Metro train Line 3 to Plaza Catalunya, BacHome Terrace B&B is situated 5 minutes’ walk away on Carrer del Bruc.
From Girona Airport:
Catch the bus to Barcelona from Estacio del Nord. Once in Barcelona catch the Metro line 1 from Arc de Triomf to Plaza Catalunya, or walk directly to Carrer del Bruc which is 10 minutes away.

Palau de la Musica
One of the finest examples of the Art Nouveau style, the Palau de la Musica Catalana was listed UNESCO World Heritage. This magnificent concert hall is situated near our B&B and guided visits in Spanish, English, French or Russian take place daily.
Museum Picasso
This museum dedicated to Picasso is one of the best known in Europe. With over 4 200 works in the permanent collection, and regular temporary collections, it offers a unique opportunity to admire the fantastic talent of this world famous artist.
Santa Maria del Mar Church
Santa Maria del Mar is a splendid Gothic Church built in the 14th century. It is one of Barcelona’s major landmarks.
Barcelona Cathedral
Probably one of the finest Gothic churches in Barcelona, the Cathedral dedicated to the patron saint of Barcelona stands on Placita de La Seu next to the famous Rambla.
Casa Batlló
This spectacular building, which stands on Passeig de Gracia, is one of Gaudi’s most famous masterpieces with its oval windows. Colourful ceramic decor and most unusual roof, it is one of the most visited in Barcelona.
La Pedrera (Casa Milà)
Another famous civil work from Gaudi, is Casa Milà, also called La Pedrera, which is just a little further along on Passeig de Gracia.
Las Ramblas
This world famous tree-lined avenue, consists in fact of several streets, starting from Plaza de Catalunya and leading to the Mediterranean Sea and Port Vell. Popular with tourists and locals, it offers an array of shops, cafés and terraces.
Passeig de Gràcia
Stretching north from Plaza de Catalunya to Carrer Gran de Gracià, this large tree-lined avenue is one Barcelona’s major streets.
It features a large number of Modernist style buildings designed by Gaudi and other architects of the Art Nouveau period. The avenue is also home to leading international luxury brands, restaurants and terraces.
La Boquería and Santa Catalina Markets
Barcelona’s markets are very popular with tourists and visitors. The most popular is the Sant Josep de la Boqueria market, simply called La Boqueria.
It is one of the oldest covered markets in Barcelona. You will find it half way down Las Ramblas.
Santa Caterina Market is a lively and colourful market, offering a great opportunity to taste local products. It is situated in La Ribera District, not far from the Picasso Museum.
Plaza Real
Situated in the Gothic district, and offering a perfect central location, this beautiful square with its elegant buildings is an absolute must. With all the restaurants, night clubs and bars available, it is the perfect spot for daytime and evening entertainment.
Gothic Quarter
The Gothic Quarter is the historic centre of Barcelona, and one of the most amazing districts to visit.
It offers an array of meandering streets, numerous little squares and buildings dating back to medieval times.
